This Sociology book was directed to have a "magazine like-feel". The goal of this was to chunk the material into easily digestable sections so it would be less daunting to the reader.
The focus of this medical text book was to make the book feel "less like a book", inserting plenty of visual breaks in the body of text using both images and feature articles that would range in size from one to several paragraphs.
This was a fun project. I designed the Teaching Guides, from cover to cover. There were 56 books, divided into 5 categories.
